“…When I was a young writer I always worked hard on imagery, and I knew that the roots of imagery were the senses – and that if my readers could feel, taste and see what I was talking about, I would be able to tell them a story.”
Welcome to the new website! Every once in a while, a girl needs a makeover (I’m first in line) and this site was in need of some glam! We hope we have made it beautiful and simple to navigate. The book series are collected on one page, in chronological order, with easy to scroll down study questions and a recipe from each novel or inspired by it, perfect for book clubs and gatherings or a family get-together. The stand-alone novels and non-fiction books are featured in order of their publication with study questions, recipes and more.
On this site, you will find up-to-date news on the latest novel in the pipeline, movie adaptations of the books, appearances and events.
If you would like to join me on the road as I tour, please click here.
If you’d like me to appear via Skype to your book club, please click here.
We’d like to extend an invitation to you to join us at home or abroad on one of our tours as we bring the books, their settings and the inspiration behind them to life. Please join us on a walking or tasting tour in Greenwich Village or on our magnificent tours of Italy, the UK and beyond. We keep the costs low, the experience deluxe and the adventure high – a quick click to the fabulous Gina Casella at AT Escapes, a division of Adriana Trigiani Tours, and she will answer your questions.
Every couple of years, we hold The World’s Biggest Book Club, a luncheon and book giveaway with lots of laughs and prizes. Next time, we’d love to have you there; for more information, contact us.
The Origin Project is our in-school writing project, which we began in 2013 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia at Union High School. The program goes wide this fall – to learn more about it, and Nancy Bolmeier Fisher, our Executive Director, please click here.
As we roll out the Big Stone Gap movie in the months ahead, we will be coming directly to you to make certain we show it near you – as always, making the experience of the books, whether on the page or the screen, easy and accessible to you! To kick things off, Big Stone Gap made its world premiere at the Virginia Film Festival on November 6th, 2014!
Please write to me here with any questions or comments, and keep up with me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Goodreads! As always, thank you for reading my books and reaching out- see you very soon!
