“…If there is one thing I hope my books do always and forever, it’s that they honor working people.” –Adriana Trigiani

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our website. Here’s to a fabulous summer!

Wonderful article by Anne Slowey about our roots in comedy, that led to the Big Stone Gap movie and All the Stars in the Heavens (which will be released on paperback on July 26!), read it right here!

Our in-school writing program, The Origin Project, is flourishing! TOP recently won the Helen Matthews Lewis Award for Community Service and the program continues to grow throughout Virginia. Bestselling author Meg Wolitzer wowed classrooms this Spring, working with students on their pieces. Our Skype sessions with students have filled the calendar and we’re thrilled.

The Big Stone Gap movie is now available to rent or own, and debuted around the world this spring. We’re proud that our movie was named one of the TOP-grossing women-directed films of 2015 and the #2 Top-Grossing Romantic Comedy of 2015. The perfect accompaniment to the DVD is, of course, the original soundtrack, now available on iTunes and to own on CD, from Lakeshore Entertainment. It’s a must have for those of you who love the music of the mountains, with selections from our Grammy-winning composer John Leventhal and great artists like Rosanne Cash, Ralph Stanley, Papa Joe Smiddy and the Reedy Creek Boys, If Birds Could Fly, and Michael Trigiani.

Gina Casella is cooking up great things over at AT Escapes, where the books become real as you travel to the places where the stories are set. Join us in New York City to experience one of our fabulous walking tours, or have the adventure of a lifetime in Italy, the UK, and more. Click here for more information.

I’m working on my new novel, Kiss Carlo, out everywhere Spring 2017. The third book in the Viola series is on the horizon. Plus, look out for the release of my documentary Queens of the Big Time, which has its 20th Anniversary this year. Make sure you check back here for updates on all of our upcoming projects.

Keep up with me on FacebookTwitterInstagram, and Goodreads. We wish you, your family and friends much love, good health, work that sustains you and the experience of art that lifts your spirit and brings you joy- God bless you each and every one!

xoxo Adriana
